The saying goes, “Numbers don’t lie.” In the case of Cara Gullion, that is very true. Regarded as one of the most all around players during her career, she posted numbers that placed her in the Top 5 in all major statistical categories. She ranks 3rd in scoring, 2nd in rebounds and 5th in assists. She did all of her scoring and rebounding without ever having a 40 point game or a 20 rebound game. She was one of Scottsburg’s most accurate shooters as well, shooting 57.1% from the field and over 74% from the free throw line. Both of those numbers also put her among the tops in those fields. She is the only player in school history to have a 400 point, 200 rebound and 150 assist season (1987-88). Many compare her numbers to that of Tim Hutchinson on the Warriors side of history.
